Monthly Favorites// March 2015

It's been a massive roller coaster of a month but the positives have outweighed the negatives and I have a lot of stuff to talk about in this month's post!

  1. Love Has No Labels short film, Valentines Day 2015

So whilst you were either with your partner on Valentines day, or drowning your sorrow with chocolate because you had no one to spend the day with, this amazing film was being filmed somewhere in America. It basically features selected couples and friends standing behind an x-ray screen hugging, kissing, dancing and playing. After they've done their thing, they reveal themselves to the crowd. The people standing behind the screen vary from gay families, friends of different religion and, the one that pulled my heartstrings the most, two young sisters, one of which suffered from a learning disability. Give it a watch! It left me in happy-tears...

      2. 'The Imaginary World of' by Keri Smith

I did a vague post about Keri Smith last week because I'd just purchased one of her most recent books which came out in 2014. I have only completed about two pages of it but I'm in love with it and the concept of creating my own imaginary little world through creativity and artistic practice. I'm looking forward to completing it then sharing some of my best pages with you guys.

       3.  'Once Upon a Time

Another series I am slowly becoming obsessed with! 'Once Upon a Time' is a drama in which fairy tale characters are trapped in the real world but are totally oblivious, so it's up to Henry and his birth mother Emma to solve the mystery and break the curse whilst Henry's evil adoptive mother tries to break them apart. The first series involves characters such as Rumplestiltskin, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Jimmeny Cricket and Snow White. If you have Netflix it's on here, I'd seriously consider giving it a watch if you like fantasy and drama films/programs.

      4. Britney Spears

She's not released anything since around 2012-2013 but after being on GTA and hearing her get played on some throwback show on MTV, I've fallen in love with her all over again. She's been the victim of internet trolls since her misunderstood mental breakdown which escalated to her shaving her head a few years back. However, this doesn't change her being an absolute beauty and amazing artist. She played a big part in my childhood and I'm not guilty of listening to her still.

       5. Drawing and arty stuff

When I've had time, I've been doing quite a lot of drawing based off TV shows, books and make-up designs. It's widened my horizons and I'd love a brief art career alongside being a primary school teacher, or even if I just take a year out and get a job in a studio somewhere, because after this year I will be qualified. But otherwise, it's something I enjoy in my spare time and I've definitely improved over the past few months, it makes me proud but I am a perfectionist. It's not good enough yet!

        7. My new hair

As well as being proud of myself for donating my hair and sponsorship money to such amazing causes, I'm also so happy with the way my hair has turned out and I am definitely considering keeping it like this for a while. It makes me feel adult and I've actually stopped to admire myself in the mirror for the first time in ages.

I hope you guys have also had a month full of amazingness and that you're all healthy and happy. I have a lot to look forward to this month (April). I will be seeing my extremely brave little cousins and doing loads of fun stuff with them, it will be six months for myself and Tom and I will also have my first pay day!

Have a wonderful Easter guys, stay safe and happy xo
