Personal Update// I have a job!
I'm not going to leave you in dying suspense for my next personal update. I actually have some good news and am going to quit the moaning and groaning about the shit aspects of life.
Ok first thing's first, I now have my first job! It was really hard for me to find a job that suits my...capabilites. I'm easily distracted so would be hopeless in retail and I am far too clumsy to be a waitress. I really wanted a job that I would enjoy, and because I am obsessed with Alton Towers and love the theme park, I applied for a job as a ride host.
I had my interview and assessment on Thursday which ran along smoothly until I was sick of nerves just before it was my turn to be interviewed, but I carried on.
Alton Towers Human Resources called me just this afternoon to inform me I did very well and got the job as a ride host. I have been assigned to a ride in the X Sector. This includes the rides that are The Smiler, Oblivion and Enterprise. I will be trained on one of these rides and then on another ride in another sector, hopefully in The Dark Forest, as the rides here (Thirteen and Rita) are great during Halloween!
I will be receiving a package via e-mail within the next week or so to go over the essentials, shifts and payments. When this is done I will be trained for the new season which starts on March 21st! So to all my friends and family, next time you're at Alton Towers come by and say hello (and tell my boss and customer services how amazing and friendly I am). But on a serious note, I am so excited!
I am also getting back into my art and stuff by doing lots of drawing. I am now investing in loads of accessories, paper and essentials to build up a scrapbook which will contain photos, letters, drawings and stuff. Soon, I am hoping to start a bit of calligraphy and widen my artistic skills so I can work on creative commission projects for people.
I hope you're all staying happy and positive! Lots of love! xo
