Personal Post and a Bit of a Rant
Recently I've been going through my third attempt of coming off my fluoxetine tablets (anti-depressants). I've not taken any of these tablets for a week which probably explains why I feel a bit grotty, and also a bit aggressive. I've noticed since I've been coming off these tablets that I've had really dramatic mood swings. And to be quite honest, I'm not trying to play the blame game, but some of the people I know really aren't helping.
I've always been quite an opinionated person and I'm not afraid of posting what I think about things on Facebook. I respect other people's opinions and have learnt if I disagree, to keep it to myself or express it in a civil manner. Something I was never good at as a child.
Obviously these are only small things. I'd never post something highly offensive or controversial. But I've noticed some of these things have got people's backs up a bit, to the point where they find it appropriate to wind me up purely because they disagree. Let me just say, because of my current situation and attitudes, it's not exactly the best idea to get me wound up about a post that's supposed to be a snappy joke whilst explaining my opinion about something. If I was manipulating or cyber bullying someone, then I can understand why someone would want to have a go at me. But if I'm half-jokingly posting about why people feel the need to describe the weather when I have a window and people feel the need to criticize me and tell me to "lighten up" because it's irritated them, then I have a problem. If I have got your back up about something as futile as snow and you feel the need to respond in that way, then you are just as guilty. If you don't like someone's opinion, no one is forcing you to react to it. Scroll past it. It's consistent? Just delete them! Because to be honest, I have about ten people on my friends list constantly winding me up over the smallest things that I have an opinion on, some of these opinions aren't even serious! I've been told I get too concerned with people when my posts are just generic. To be honest I'm focused on myself, relationship and family at the moment. I don't have time to complain about who posted what on Facebook. Because that's stupid and a waste of my time. That's half the problem with teenagers now. Just constantly complaining about who said what about someone. I post what I want, you post what you want. I see plenty of things that I don't agree with on Facebook. Overloads of feminism, nude photos, the whole lot! I scroll straight past it because I don't want to find myself in a row. It's not good for my health and I have enough on my plate at the moment.
So, from now on, if I post something you don't agree with you know what to do and where to go because to be honest I'm tired of always having those few people commenting on my, and other people's, statuses trying to make themselves look all high and mighty purely because they have an opinion that opposes to mine. I respect yours, but that doesn't mean you have to make the other person look like an idiot. People are different and have different opinions. And quite frankly, at the moment I really don't need the aggravation of some idiot causing trouble on my posts.
