Mini Paperchase Haul // Photography & Crafts

Hi, guys!

I realise I haven't done a blog post for around about a week or so now, as I've been so busy with new work arrangements and I've also not been 100% since getting back home from holiday, as I seem to have picked up a nasty ear infection.
On a lighter note, I have been undergoing some retail therapy to beat the post-holiday sadness. Last week, I did a Paperchase shop as I am growing an unhealthy obsession with stationary and small crafty bits. Joking, I am not, I have literally had to force myself away from Amazon, Waterstones and Paperchase so I don't start purchasing loads of little bits I want but do not need. Adult coloring books for example (not as in X rated, as in complicated coloring books that are a bit more advance than children's coloring books you silly moose). I have three of these already and I estimate that I will be about eighty years old before I finish any of them!

Anyway, more to the point, here is my mini Paperchase Haul (mini, because my bank account was suffering and I need to save for more bits before I re-start college!)

**

1. 500 Self Adhesive Photo Corners

These seem like a really boring purchase but they are so useful, especially for anyone who may keep a journal or scrap book. If you want to stick in a photograph, brochure or some sort of print-out keepsake and put it in either a journal or scrapbook, these little beauties keep it well-sealed into your book and also help maintain lovely presentation. You can also get colored ones too, if you want to jazz it up a bit!

2. Live, Love, Laugh Paper Tape

Excuse my dodgy hand on this photo, I just wanted to show you guys the beautiful detail on this tape roll! I've ordered most of these haul products specifically for my scrapbook, and the words on the tape is perfect for sticking in and decorating around happy memories. It's a fairly neutral color scheme too. The scrapbook I am using from Hobby Craft has brown pages, so the faded red and creme on this will give the pages and photographs a lovely vintage effect. Also, I thought the color scheme would look quite cute for Christmassy photos too!

3. 3 Sheets of Tissue (Travel Theme)

At the moment, Paperchase have a lot of 'travel' themed stock, as it is of course the summer holidays. I bought this because I thought it would look really nice torn up and used to frame pages of the scrapbook where there might be holiday snaps, or travel bucket lists etc. I think these sheets are so cool and quirky, as they're not your bog standard piece of paper with a photo of the Eiffel Tower on it, oh no. They're large sheets of tissue paper with different colored Atlas's on them! I also thought they would be quite cute for gift wrapping, incase any of my friends may go off traveling and I want to buy them a gift. But they're not, so it's for me!

4. 'Bambi' Stickers

I saw these and didn't really get a good look at them because when I hovered my mouse over them whilst going through my little spree, it didn't zoom in (all you online shoppers will understand!). But I thought they sounded cute and just added them to my basket. Let me tell you, I am not disappointed with my choice. These were 70p and look how sweet they are! The colours are beautiful and the designs are so intricate! I've also grown an obsession with stickers recently as you can now get so many cute ones. I don't know whether to use these for the scrapbook or for placement work when marking stuff and writing progress books. I think they'd look really cute on envelopes as sealers, too!

5. Wildlife Paper Pack- 12 Sheets

I did this scrapbooking workshop with an old school chummy just before we left for secondary school, and this chummy's mum put it all together because they were, and still are a super arty and talented family. I honestly loved it and was amazed by the fact you could get patterned paper that was so beautiful. So over the past few years I have been searching for paper to use for art products and I have finally stumbled across another set that I absolutely adore. This set, like the tissue paper, has a theme of traveling. I was looking through some of the sheets with Tom and we thought the pack would be perfect for the pages that would have our Malia photos, while the others would be perfect for random trips and upcoming holiday photos for upcoming trips like Paris and Amsterdam. But the pack as a whole comes a mix of pretty, tranquil Parisian-esque designs, and then sheets with bright lotus flowers and club signs. It's a shame there weren't more packs like this on the site!

6. Lace Birds Hand Stitched Journal

Last but not least (hey, I did say it was a mini haul!), a hand stitched journal! I have been aimlessly looking at these for ages now, with no real idea of what I'd use them for, because they're too pretty to use for college or university. I also had no idea what design to go for as there were so many beautiful ones to choose from. But I settled with this one in the end because I thought it was very elegant and looked quite vintage, and I really like vintage things! I decided when it arrived, (which was yesterday) that I'd use it for my placements and career as a teacher to write down funny things the children say (as I want to be a teacher), because kids do indeed say the darnest things.

***

I hope this haul has been ok for you guys. I'm sorry it was so short and not in video form but as I said I've been so busy recently and not feeling great. But I did try to make it as pretty and lovely for you as possible with nice pictures. Hopefully at the end of August I will be able to do a 'Back to School' sort of haul thing, and perhaps in video form, with more items to focus on.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe! xo

P.S As if I needed any more stationary or crafty bits, I've also made a Paperchase Wishlist on my Polyvore account which you can access here. Enjoy!
