Monthly Favorites// May 2015
I've literally been the most ignorant person as to what has been going on this month. It has been a very busy month, which has made me less able to try new things. I swear I say this in every monthly favorites post now-a-days, but I seriously misinterpreted how busy life will be when trying to balance work, college and a social life. As well as keeping a fully updated blog. So excuse my most recent weak attempt at a monthly favorites post!
100 Years...
I came across this video very recently, by MODE, and it's an amazing representation of how fashion has changed in 100 years. This should technically be classed as a June favorite as it was only released 17 hours ago, but it's only been four days of June so it doesn't really matter...does it? Anyway, this team have basically grabbed this model and dressed her in clothes from 1915 to now and the transformation is incredible. I really recommend it if you're into fashion!
(1945 is my fave!)
More nights out!
Over the past few months I've been at work a lot, which means I've been earning my own money (finally). So, I decided to go out on both bank holiday weekends after work to do the local tradition, 'Super Sunday', which is where everyone in Ashbourne basically goes out and gets trashed. The first one, near the beginning of May, I went out with Katie and Rachel and saw a few old faces like Josh and Snape. I also made a massive tit out of myself when Rachel's mum came to pick us up and was just talking rubbish. The second one was amazing. Tom, Rachel, Matt and myself went and I saw so many people from nursery and primary school. It was scary to think at one point in my life I was running around with these people in a playground and now I was out drinking with them!
Bath bombs
Every Christmas and birthday I always ask people to refrain from getting me bath bombs as I am more of a shower person, but still people get me them. Well, it wasn't until I started work that I realized baths are so much better for muscle pains and stuff, so I started to use these bath bombs I got from the Christmas set I received back in December. There was a polar bear one and this marshmallow-y one pictured above. They both smelt absolutely gorgeous. The marshmallow one turned the bath water pink, white and glittery as well which was pretty cool. I will definitely be asking for more of these in future!
Avengers: Age of Ultron
I went to see this with Tom the other week and absolutely loved it. I found it stuck to the comics more (which I don't actually read, I just like looking at the art). I still prefer the story line of singular Avenger films, like Captain America and Iron Man, because I feel all the joint films are too clustered and hard to concentrate on. But this was a really decent film and I really enjoyed it.

Art and Coloring
Loads of people commonly associate coloring books with children and toddlers. But alas, some genius has created them for adults as a form of stress relief and art therapy! I purchased two books on Amazon, the Art Therapy Coloring Book (pictured above) and Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom. Last Friday, Tom's mum also very kindly bought me 'Enchanted Forrest' by Johanna Basford. Each of these books is filled with beautiful and complex designs, they are so lovely to sit and do when bored or feeling slightly anxious.
We've booked our first holiday!
The other weekend Tom and myself booked our first holiday together, which will be in Malia...4 weeks on Tuesday! We cannot put into words how excited we are about it and are looking forward to all the different events like paint parties and beach parties (I've always wanted to go to a beach party!). We've already been shopping for clothes and little essentials, we just can't wait!
I hope this hasn't been too much of a drag for you guys to read. Reading through, it seems like I haven't had such a bad month at all! I haven't really got too much planned for June, Tom and I will just be making a couple more videos and hopefully at some stage my summer body will come into shape a bit more. Speaking of which, my Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Blitz has literally just come through the post so you may receive a review of that by the end of this month, and I will update you guys with my progress!
Goodbye for now, happy Summer!
