30 before 30 Bucket list// Dreams and ambitions
This trend is going viral over the internet. I've seen people doing it over Tumblr, word press and everything. The concept is to basically make a bucket list of 30 things you'd like to achieve or do by the time you are 30 years of age. Considering I'm eighteen in less than four months, I better get my act together and start working towards these goals.
1) Go to a foreign country and help on a community project
This has been a dream for me since I was thirteen. Whether it is helping build an orphanage in Africa or going to the USA to help out at a summer camp for disadvantaged children, I'd love to help other people as it would give me great life experience and show me how much I have taken for granted throughout my life.
2) Work in a bar in a foreign country
I'm a bit of a party girl and love a good time. In summer 2016 I'd like to go away for a season and work in a bar or hotel, as a kids rep or land sports coordinator. I will basically be getting paid to have fun and give other people a pleasurable experience and I think it will give me a lot more confidence in myself. My mum worked in Greece when she was 17 as a nanny kind of thing and she loved it, so I'd kind of like to follow the same path.
3) Get my b-tech and diploma in photography
I'm a bit of a quitter and poo poo'ed my A levels a bit. But winners never quit and quitters never win. I'm going to work really hard for the next two years and try to become a fully qualified photographer. I really want to become as big as Rankin or Perou.
4) Have a piece of my photo journalism published in a mainstream piece of media
Ambitious I know, and probably a bit unrealistic. But I'm going to start working loads on this aspiration. That means my blog and portfolio will be chocker blocked with current news, relevant photo shoots and my opinions with consistent rants.
5) Successfully be able to play all Pierce the Veil songs on electric guitar
I have really crappy hand eye coordination so this will be a bit of a challenge but I would be so proud of myself if I could complete this.
6) Fully over come my psychological issues
Can feel myself slowly slipping into happiness. I am surrounding myself with the right people and I will have down days, but it will be worth it in the end.
7) Be in a stable relationship...maybe married...with kids?
I have my ambitions and appreciate independence, but I love being looked after as well. I've always had a part of me that makes out I am a strong person but really I am like a child. I need a strong man in my life to support me. I'd also love kids and would try to be the coolest mum on the planet. I'd be firm but laid back. I'd let them be their own person and never judge them.
8) Do a realistic drawing
Aside from my photography, I also love to draw and paint but I can only really do Brett Helquist style illustrations of people so I am going to try and develop my drawing skills and draw a realistic animal or person.
9) Have a meaningful tattoo
Unless it's a seriously cool design, like my bus driver's tattoos, then I don't agree with having them unless they mean something. On myself, anyway, because sleeves wouldn't suit me no matter how much I love them. I'd like a quote. Not something cliche like "With faith comes success" (No offence, George), maybe one of my favourite song lyrics or something.
10) Get a pug
It says it all in my blogger profile URL, does it not? I am OBSESSED with pugs and would love to have one. If it was a boy I would call it Terry, if it was a girl I would call it Miss Piggy. I would say a pet monkey as well called Jack but that is highly unrealistic. I don't even think that's legal unless you live in India. But a pug will be satisfactory enough I...who am I kidding a pug would be fecking amazing!
11) Go to an airport without anxiety
Only a few people know, but I HATE airports and have had to take melatonin to relax myself during all the processes of getting onto a plane such as passport control, checking in and security. The anxiety I get behind potentially missing a flight is also terrifying for me.
12) Be able to say the word 'documentary'
I can spell it but I just can't say it. It always comes out as "democumentary" and makes me sound like a five year old which is kind of annoying.
13) Have a code name for every familiar face I see
It sounds so rude but it's just easier than remembering people. So far my latest addition to the list is 'Flounder'..like from The Little Mermaid.
14) Go to a gig at Wembley Stadium
I'd love to see one of my favourite bands such as Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens or Asking Alexandria perform at Wembley. Probably Asking Alexandria though because the atmosphere would be amazing and they are my favourite band ever. Or Slipknot. God there's too much choice.
15) Meet Danny Worsnop
I have the BIGGEST crush on Danny Worsnop. It's as big as my crush on Leanardo Di Caprio. If you put them both in front of me and made me choose between them I really wouldn't know what to do. But Danny Worsnop is myy favourite musician ever as the front man and lead singer of Asking Alexandria. I'd love him to sing "Not the American Average" to me...
16) See 'Billy Elliot' at The West End
I love love love this play. It's got music by T-Rex in it as well which makes it even better. I saw the play in Stoke the other year and it was amazing but I'd love to see how directors from The West End composed it and the atmosphere would be amazing.
17) Photograph an influential celebrity to me
The first step to becoming a big photographer is taking shots of local celebrities then using word of mouth to get yourself a better reputation. I'd love to photograph Jack O'Connell because he is just gorgeous and so funny but I was informed that his agent wouldn't allow him to do anything outside the acting industry. Hopefully I will be able to photograph someone else though and get myself more well known.
18) See a group of male strippers/adult dancers
I'd love to go out with a group of mates and just see one of these shows. It would be such a laugh and good time!
19) Watch a boxing match
Again for the atmosphere and I absolutely love boxing. I did it for a bit last summer and really got into it. It's an opportunity to get dressed up and watch two rival boxers have fisticuffs along with some good photo opportunities!
20) Do the Mud Run in Brailsford
The Mud Run is basically this really challenging and physically demanding obstacle course that goes on for about a mile and you have to run it all with your chosen team. People train for quite a while ahead of it but it's something I'm willing to do. It's not a race and there are no winners or losers. The reward is knowing you worked hard towards something and did a long ass run for a charity of your choice.
21) Have a professional photo shoot of my own
I'd love to be on the other side of the lens again. I haven't had a proper and professional studio session before and I really think it would boost my confidence up. I did have an outdoor photo shoot when I was 14 but a lot has changed since then, like my face and style, and I have lost a lot of confidence since then. Something like this would be amazing...
22) Experiment more
I've been brave with my personality and confidence, but I need to experiment more with 'growing into my looks'. I need to be more adventurous with the clothes and make up I wear and I want to match my personality, which is rocky, loud and punky.
23) Go on a date to the Ice Bar in London
I'd love to be treated to a cheeky drink by a possible partner in the Ice Bar. A bar, hence the name, that is made by ice. Apparently it is very swish and romantic...
24) Go to Amsterdam for a week
It looks absolutely beautiful and there is so much to do there. Art museums...and of course the Anne Frank museum is somewhere I'd always like to go. The scenery is gorgeous as well. I'd love to go around winter, it would make some amazing photo opportunities.
25) Get my photography business up and running
Again, I'd love to get my name out there and make money from doing something I love and have a talent in doing.
26) Do a bit of dog training and sitting
I love dogs. Anyone who sees how I act with my own dog and my Uncles dog won't even hesitate to guess this. I used to want to be a dog handler in the army but I'm a scaredy cat and don't fancy walking around with a dog risking having a leg blown off or getting killed...or even worse...the dog getting killed. I wouldn't be able to cope. So I'd just like to do a bit of dog sitting for local people and train my own dog some more cool stuff like how to fetch me beverages from the fridge when I'm too lazy to do it myself.
27) Be able to drive
I don't trust myself to drive at the moment without injuring someone or a harmless animal. I'm way too clumsy but I know this is a skill I really need so hopefully I will be able to pluck up the courage and learn to drive soon.
28) Vlog and stuff on Youtube
A lot of my friends have seen me play games on my PS3 and say it's quite amusing and have often been in tears from laughing. They've told me I should follow in jacksepticeye and markipliar's foot steps and record myself playing video games. I don't have the confidence or courage yet as I don't take negative comments or criticism too well at the moment but when I am ready I'd definatley like to entertain people via. Youtube and do some vlogs.
29) Get body confident
I have a very bad relationship with my body. One minute I love it, the next minute I hate it and I don't really like showing much of my flesh because I'd hate to think people behind me would be whispering about me saying "she looks so fat" and stuff like that. I'd like to step out my comfort zone when I have the confidence and fit in with my friends as I look dead boyish when I try to conceal myself.
30) Get back into dance
I used to do a lot of dance after school from primary school to when I was in secondary school and I literally LOVED it. It gave me so much confidence and made me so happy. Once I get a job I will start funding my lessons and stuff.
