Gimme a break! | Lifestyle

Hello, everyone!

I have been busy, busy, busy over the past few weeks after the winter break. It was very much 'back to reality', what with all the assignments and assessment pieces thrown my way, plus a wobbly placement visit. You could say I am more than ready for this half term break.

Although the Easter term is considered to be the shortest, it definitely doesn't seem that way. There is so much for me to prepare for the next half of term and my anxiety is driving me nuts because of it. Activity plans, another placement visit, assignments. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick. But it all needs doing!

Yesterday, I also had a job interview as a Resort Excellence host. Everyone was so confident. I was too, but the experience these other guys had was unreal and they could all talk the talk. I think the person carrying out my individual interview thought 'who is this bumbling idiot' because honestly I felt like I couldn't form a sentence correctly without stammering or rambling on for ages. But please keep your fingers crossed and pray for me, I would love to go back and work for Towers again!

But, this week I will try and relax! There's a lot to look forward to.

Tomorrow I will be darting off to Scotland to see some family with my mum. Tom will be joining us on Wednesday too, which is really exciting. We always get up to loads of fun things in Scotland, and it's beautiful too so expect loads of photos in my upcoming travel log!

Deadpool is coming out on Valentines Day and I'm so excited. I'm not usually a big fan of superhero films and stuff, but there's something different about this character. He's so cheeky and hilarious, and the trailer makes the film look very promising, with what looks like a cracking story line.

On the 27th of February, Tom and I will be going on a full date day and night to Nottingham. Shopping, a meal and going to see one of our favourite bands, twentyone pilots. This was a one year anniversary present and we have been anticipating it for ages. The fact it's only three weeks away makes it all the more exciting and we are counting down the days! My placement inspection is also two days before the event so this should be a nice relaxing day in comparison.

So, what are you up to this half term? Leave your comments down below and whatever it is, enjoy it!
