December Favourites | Lifestyle
Hello everyone!
Looks like I didn't get much blogging done over the Christmas period. I've been busy doing...things!
I did really want to do a Christmas haul because I've been so fortunate this year with loads of lovely things, and the same applies for my birthday. So I will do this in the New Year, as I have so many posts to write and need to take some photographs of various things to make the posts a bit more wholesome.
I'm also doing December favourites and 2015 favourites because I feel like they come as separate things so you will have a lot to read tonight (if you're not out boozing and socialising!).
So enough of my rambling, I will get started!
Beauty regimes
Hopefully I will have some photos by the new year of my fabulous bits and pieces that have made this possible.
So many friends and family members have treated me to super gorgeous things that will help me look a bit more human throughout 2016! This includes make up, make up brushes, skin care products and lots of bits and bobs for my hair. Throughout December I have been preening myself with all these wonderful things and feel so much better for it already. Quite frankly, I am astounded by the amazing difference a few decent make up brushes can do! There will be photos in my Winter Beauty Haul (I'm not that into beauty so please don't expect too much!) of what I'm getting so excited about. See? So unorganised for this blogging malarky!

Pretty impressed, if I do say so myself! |
My birthday!
This year Tom was in Oman for my birthday, and I was at placement for half a day! It was so lovely, the children made me a birthday card and we went to a local residential home to sing our nativity songs to them. I did shed a tear though, these things make me emotional!
After this, I was spoilt to lunch and presents at the Denstone Hall Village Farm Shop and Cafe by my mum, Sarah (Tom's Mum) and Mamma (Tom's Grandma) which was lovely. So nice to wind down after a busy term of work!
And THEN (I bet you're all thinking what a busy person I am, mwahah! I joke, I am incredibly lazy), I got all scrubbed up and waited for the arrival of some cousins and a Chinese takeaway. My mum also made this amazing chocolate cake with Maltesers and chocolate buttons which was beautiful. Although my cousins don't eat much, even they had room for some of it!

apologies for the poor photography skills that were put into this image |
I was surprised to a voice message on Facebook too, as Tom was staying in an ex-pat hotel that night so we could talk for a little while on Facebook. This made me a very happy girl!
Oooh yes, and I found out my thirteen year old cousin was taller than me, as pictured below!
Christmas
Christmas for me this year, was very traditional. Surrounded by family (and food), opening presents and eating tons of food that's not good for me, but who cares? It's Christmas!
I had been spoilt, yet again, and was also in adoration as to how people took my love of stationary and art into consideration. This is all going to lead into a massive haul post in the new year!
The night out...
After a calm and peaceful Boxing Day with Tom, watching Cinderella and eating more with my family, we went out to the Pantomime and then for a...not-so-calm night out with friends as a late birthday celebration, and early birthday celebration for Tom. I feel a lot of stories are going to be told from this as it was so eventful and hilarious. Some of these, however, are not deemed suitable for here!
Pantomimes
I am going to be fed up with pantomimes by the end of January! I have been to two this month, once with college and once with some of Tom's family (both of which were brilliant), and will be going in the middle of January, too! However, I best get used to them as I will probably have to go every year until the end of my career. Needless to say, I can't complain as they are quite entertaining, even for the grown ups.
Physique 1 Family
Whilst Tom was away, I gave myself a lot to do to distract myself from moping around and doing nothing. On the second-to-last day of him being away, I went to go and see my God father at his gym and have some lunch. It was so lovely to see everyone again and spend some time there, as well as meeting there 'new' dog (new to me as I haven't seen anyone there for a year!) who is absolutely gorgeous. I do love a sulky dog!
**
Well, tonight it's time to say goodbye to my favourite time of year, and hello to a whole new year which I am extremely excited about. You can see why, in two posts time!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, happy new year! xo
