10 things I hate// I like to rant

Most people who are close to me will know if I don't like something, I am very good at complaining about it. A bit like Karl Pilkington from an Idiot Abroad. So, I thought I'd enlighten you with every day things that really push my buttons and stress me out...

  1. Bullies and really bitchy girls

I think this is a common pet peave. I can't stand bullies. I used to be too weak willed to stick up for myself and other people. I definatley regret that now because there's so many people I could have stood up for at my old school. It's just unnecessary and immature. Making fun of someone because of their wealth, appearance, style, music taste. Everyone is different. Girls who can't sort out an argument are really annoying as well. I've been in some seriously petty arguments in my time and I will admit that but now I just look back and laugh. If you have a problem with someone, confront them. Don't make a song and dance about it.

    2. When People don't flush the toilet

This makes me feel physically sick. I hate walking into public toilets and finding that some lazy cow hasn't flushed their toxic waste. It makes you wonder whether some people were born in a barn. I have lost count of the amount of times I have walked into my college toilets and walked into a cubicle where someone hasn't flushed the toilet. Call me pathetic, but I never use a toilet that hasn't been flushed. It's gross.

    3. Disrespectful Men

I wouldn't really call myself a hardcore feminist, but I definatley think there's a bit of social patriarchy when it comes to men. Obviously, not all men are the same. But I hate walking around Derby alone because there's some right weirdos and pervs there. I know I'm not stunning but I am an average looking girl and I still get whistled at and sometimes harassed in town. Cat calls and everything. I'm not easily scared but as a woman it's actually intimidating and scary. So boys, if you find an attractive girl in town please be a bit more classy about it and actually approach them like a civilised human being rather than shouting from a distance, groping and harassing them.

    4. Fake Fans

I loathe these people. You say what your favourite band/singer is, they agree with you then don't know the slightest thing about them. You can tell who they are a majority of the time because when you ask them what their favourite song is by that singer/band they say "oh I like all of them" or one of the top five on Deezer/Spotify.

    5. Drivers who don't use indicators

Seriously, if you want to make a turn let the driver behind you know! Also, it highly irritates me when I'm crossing a road and there are multiple turning options for the driver and I want to know where he/she is going so I  can cross the road without becoming road kill. It is dangerous, it is annoying. If you don't use your indicators we cannot be friends.

    6. People who have no idea what personal space and privacy is

There's a couple of people I know who are like this but I don't want to mention their names because that would be mean. If you want a conversation with me though, that doesn't mean you have to get right up in my face or little restricted zone to tell me what you had for dinner last night. Also, if I'm not particularly close to you, like in a relationship, related or best friends, don't touch me when I least expect it, or stroke my face or ever poke me in the ribs or centre of my back  unless you have a death wish. It's an invasion of privacy, it doesn't make people feel comfortable. And don't get shirty when they ask you to back off either. That's equally annoying. They have a right to feel comfortable.

    7. Girls who re-apply there make up where everyone can see them

It really bugs me when I am in college or out in public where there are toilets and bathrooms nearby but no, some girl just decides to get out all her slap and re-apply it where every single person can see her. It's a clear cry for attention and it just screams out 'I want people to look at me and walk past me telling me I don't need make up to look beautiful'.

    8. Controlling people

First thing is first, you do not own anyone or have the right to. We are not in the 1800's anymore. Slavery and ownership doesn't exist. Therefore, by controlling and dictating the actions of your boyfriend/girlfriend/friend/relative makes you look like an extreme twit. Dictating what they wear, who they talk to etc...it is beyond your control whether you like it or not. And if you don't like it turn a blind eye to it, because it is not for you to take control of.

    9. Year 7's

This may sound really stereotypical but eleven and twelve year old girls and boys are ridiculous now-a-days. I used to find it funny and cute how they tried to act all adult and stuff but now it's just going way too far. The amount of times I've walked through Derby and seen little tribes of them in tiny crop tops and skirts more like belts, faces full of makeup walking around without the guidance of their parents or whoever is in charge of them to act like a normal human being. They also seem to have no respect for people older than them. I've walked through town before and received grimacing looks from little girls. There was one occasion that made me extremely angry when a group of them were laughing at an older man who had downs syndrome, I went ballistic but firmly told them off and it went straight through them. Maybe learn how to respect people before you started colouring in your face with your mums makeup.

    10.  Waterloo Road

This program is just a massive joke now. The acting is awful and the producers and script writers have run out of ideas yet are still dragging on the programme. I enjoyed the first few series because it was more gripping and had so many shocking things going off. But now there is a potential expulsion for a student throwing a biscuit tin at a teacher? The 'next time' things annoy me as well. They make out the next episode is going to be amazing and worth my time, but the problem that gets portrayed is always solved and sorted which reduces the suspense. It is so predictable now and getting very boring. Thank God this is the last series.
