I'm Back...Again

Hi everyone

Firstly, I've recently uploaded a video to Youtube and it would be great if you could go and give it a view, especially if you're into stuff about mental health.

I also need to apologise because I actually recorded this in March or some time ages ago and then promised to upload more regularly. Just don't count on that anymore haha because nine times out of ten something comes up. But I am going to make more of a conscious effort to try now.
The reason why I have been so absent is purely because of university and also because I have recently (finally) started my course of cognitive behavioural therapy. I'd say it is going well...but in all honesty, I really can't describe how it's going because I am so up and down at the minute. It seems like my anxiety is getting worse, my flashbacks are becoming more frequent and therefore my PTSD is also intensifying. Right now I'm trying really hard to look after myself but also strike a balance so I don't become too dependent on other people and fall back to where I was four years ago.

I'm continuously trying to focus on the positives. I have a job that I actually enjoy, I think I did okay at university this year considering the circumstances I've experienced, and I'm pretty driven to get some art commissions done this summer to raise money for my wedding. I have also signed up for an Ultra White Collar Boxing tournament for July in aid of Cancer Research UK so hopefully, eight weeks of intense boxing training will help me trim down and give me a bit more body confidence. In addition, I hope it will give me a bit more grounding and discipline to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and then have a knock-on effect on my mental well-being.

I'm in the process of editing photos now for a wedding themed post, which I am really excited about as I have a lot to update you on for this. Tom and I are both so excited and really looking forward to getting the ball rolling with planning and what-not. We are aiming to get the planning started for as soon as possible, as the year lead-up to our set date will be my PGCE year and also my first few months as an NQT. Anyone who has done a PGCE year will know how busy this can get so it will be tricky to balance with wedding planning. So, the sooner we start the better really!

I am really sorry once again for making false promises and for being away for so long. I hope you enjoy my upcoming posts

Much love

Liv xx
