Introduction
My name is Olivia Marshman and , evidently, this is the introduction to my new blog. It's a personal blog, basically giving you an insight into my life :)
I am a 17 year old female. I love music by the likes of Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, Of Mice and Men, Asking Alexandria, Lana Del Rey. But, Beyonce is hella cool too.
I was diagnosed with depression this summer when my counsellor referred me to a psychiatrist. I take medication for this and my anxiety, plus melatonin for my insomnia which is a very big problem at the moment. Recently the dosage of my anti-depressants has been increased due to foul moods and suicidal thoughts. This blog is going to be my refuge where I can post how I feel and what it's like to have depression, anxiety, autistic spectrum disorder, insomnia and also bulimia.
I live with my mother, father and older brother who will be turning 21 on Valentines Day this year! Scary!
My mum is called Lisa and she is a nurse, and a fantastic one she is too! She works in the intensive care unit along-side a team of other lovely nurses, some of whom I have met.
My dad is called Paul and he runs his own business selling commercial gym equipment and sometimes even goes out to Northern Ireland for business.
My brother is 20, and studying sports and exercise science at the University of Derby. He is going on to do his masters at Nottingham Trent next year, we are all very proud!
I myself started 6th form college and moved away from my repulsive secondary school, Denstone College , due to serious bullying,in September. Here, I am studying for my 3 AS levels. The subjects I am taking are Photography (my passion), sociology and combined English. I have made an amazing new start and met lots of lovely friends.
After college, I wish to go to Camp America to help at a disadvantaged childnren's camp, ensuring they have a summer packed full of fun and give them an entirely new outlook on their lives. After this I shall study at University in order to become a primary school teacher.
